TO GET THE DISCOUNT You must make your reservations through Disney Wedding Reservations (407) 827-6799
*If you use a different number to make your reservation, book through a travel agent, or choose to stay on a different Disney resort (including renting a DVC Villa), you MUST send either Michael or I your confirmation # so we can give it to our wedding planner.  This is very important, please don't forget.
Renting a DVC Villa
Another option, if you want the most bang for your buck, is by renting a Villa from a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member. This is what Michael and I are doing. It's a bit more complicated than making a normal reservation, and you will need the money up front, but the savings are truly worth it. How worth it? A three night stay at in a Animal Kingdom Lodge Studio Villa (Value - Which means it slightly smaller than a normal villa) is $390... for all three nights! Considering that three nights in a regular room at the Animal Kingdom lodge is normally $1,400 and with the wedding discount is $1191... Basically you're staying at Deluxe Resort at the Value Resort's price. Each villa has a kitchen and washer/dryer; and if you get a villa with one or more bedrooms, there are multiple bathrooms. Now of course, the larger the villa the more expensive it is... but they also hold more people. My parents are renting a larger villa with my brother and are splitting the cost. It's still cheaper than if they had gotten individual rooms at the normal price. Just something to think about.

Here are the floor plans of each Villa:

The site we are using is Dave's DVC Point Rentals. They are an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau and have extremely good reviews.

The Disney Vacation Club is somewhat similar to a timeshare, with the biggest difference being that members own "points" that can be exchanged for days at Disney Vacation Club properties. This allows the reserving of rooms at a DVC resort anytime of the year, for any number of days, rather than a set time, week or period.  Dave's works with hundreds of Disney Vacation Club Members who for one reason or another can not use their purchased right to vacation at a Disney Vacation Club property.

While staying at the Disney World resort in Orlando Florida, as a guest of a DVC Member, you will receive all the benefits of any guest staying on property, including the Magical Express, the Dining Plan and Extended Magic Hours.

A VERY EASY RENTAL PROCESS
Renting points for a stay at any one of the Disney Vacation Club resorts is an easy 4 step process:
1. Decide when and where you want to stay. If you would like some assistance with how far out you should be securing your reservation, click here. If you need help calculating the points necessary for your vacation, use my on-line points calculator. Once you determine the amount of points required, multiply that by the price per point which is currently $13.00, or place your mouse over the result to see the total. Mycancellation policy is located here. Note: My operations are in Canada. Recently, some U.S. credit card issuers have been charging their customers a cross border transaction fee. We have been told that Capital One MasterCard does not charge a cross border transaction fee. You should always check with your card issuer for current policy.

Quick note: The minimum rental is USUALLY 44 points. Occasionally, I may have a few fragmented points left over from a contract in which case I may be able to do a two or three night stay. Single night stays are not available.
2. Complete the on-line reservation form including all details of your traveling party, room/resort choices, dates of travel and submit with a partial payment of $91.00 (which will be applied towards your successful reservation) by Visa, MasterCard or PayPal. The partial payment is returned to you if your reservation can not be secured, or applied towards the balance owing if a reservation is secured. We can usually secure reservations within 24 hours (weekends and holidays excluded). My operations are in Canada. Recently, some U.S. credit card issuers have been charging their customers a cross border transaction fee. You may want to check with your card issuer prior to providing payment. A confirmation number will be sent to you if one of your requests is available. You will be able to go online and view your full reservation details. Complete the online payment form and process the balance of payment (due in full on receipt of confirmation). I accept Visa and Mastercard as well as PayPal with no additional processing fees. All payment transactions are GUARANTEED. If your request can not be fulfilled, you will be given the opportunity to book available rooms/resorts. If they are not satisfactory to you, your $91.00 partial payment is refunded.

Please note: As per my agreement with the member whose points we used for your reservation, I am required to provide them payment the day the reservation is made.
3. A completed rental agreement will be e-mailed to you. You are required to agree to the rental agreement and return it via e-mail. A sample copy is located here.
4. You'll have access to Disney's online check-in service You may begin accessing Disney's Online Check-In Service immediately to view your reservation details and 10 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, you will be able to pre check-in, add room requests and enter information about special occasions you are celebrating during your visit.
Upon arrival, Key to the World cards and other registration materials will be waiting for you at a special welcome location where Cast Members will be available to provide additional information and answer questions. Please note that this service does not guarantee Guest rooms will be ready upon arrival at the resort. Rooms will continue to be available at standard check-in time of 4 p.m.

You can add the Dining Plan up to 30 days before your trip.  To do so, you will have to give your cc# to DVC member who made your reservation.  If that makes you uncomfortable, then you might want to use a Visa gift card instead.  That way your personal info is safe.

Once again, because it is important...
If you choose to stay in a DVC Villa, you MUST send either Michael or I your confirmation # so we can give it to our wedding planner.  This is very important, please don't forget.
